His ending last season last year with PSG was very thrilling to watch. There were even expectations that he could have won the European Golden Shoe from Lionel Messi until he was banned from three games due to penalties.

If these penalties were not given, he could have been the youngest Golden Shoe awardee in history. Who knows what this young football player can accomplish in the next few years.

Salah has already won two consecutive top-scorer trophies and is working to win on his third one. With his performance in Liverpool, we can say that he is no longer a one-season wonder and can even take Ronaldo and Messi’s place someday.

Last year, Salah scored 44 points and 32 of them for Premier League which made him a prolific goal scorer in a 38-game season surpassing the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Alan Shearer, and Luis Suarez.

When it comes to awards, Salah bagged numerous individual awards including PFA and FWA player of the year and being the player of the season for Liverpool. However, the highest glory that Salah can ever bring is the first World Cup to his country, Egypt, after almost three decades.

He was also crowned as The Guardian’s best footballer of 2018 ending the six-year the duopoly between Ronaldo and Messi.

He won every individual award last year ranking him on the website’s list. Moreover, Modric has shown tremendous efforts for his team in the past two seasons, making him one of the best football players of the past and current season.

His greatness is nowhere near declining as he wins his third consecutive championship with Real Madrid against Spain. This season, he currently has 33 goals and is planning to deliver more with Juventus.

At 33 years old, many have predicted that the Portuguese player’s performance would decline, but Ronaldo reveals that he has no plans of retiring, he even said that he feels younger than ever.

He even received a standing ovation from the crowd after delivering a staggering overhead strike at the Allianz stadium. He has shown willingness to work with his teammates now he is back at his original position which is forward in the left.

If you are not a Ronaldo fan, then you probably are a Messi fan. It’s a cliché that he is always on the number one list and it is because he might be the greatest in this generation.

Last season, he once again conquered the football field as he won the Golden Shoe after scoring 36 amazing goals.

And even though Messi was not able to defeat the Reds, he still managed to make them struggle before winning by scoring some serious goals.

Also, Messi wins Best Men’s Player of the Year in the Best FIFA Football Awards 2019 making it his sixth win for the award.

However, Barcelona has reported that Messi has suffered from an abductor injury. After suffering from the injury, he was replaced by a returning Ousmane Dembele who recently recovered from an injury.

Every football fan ever surely has its list on who the best footballers are in the world currently. The more important aspect of the sport is not the players but the sportsmanship and unity that the world always witnesses every time there is a huge sporting event.
